3Pillar Global COO Heather Combs Named Among Washington Business Journal’s ‘Women Who Mean Business’

17th annual awards program honors Washington region’s leading female voices in business

FAIRFAX, VA. –  3Pillar Global (“3Pillar”), a leading developer of innovative digital products, today announced that Chief Operating Officer Heather Combs has been named among the Washington Business Journal’s 2020 Women Who Mean Business, an annual awards program that recognizes the DC region’s top female business leaders.

“It’s an incredible honor to be included in this amazing group of women,” Combs said. “As a mom raising five girls, I see my work as helping to blaze a trail for them to succeed at whatever they choose to do in life, and it’s encouraging to be part of a group of powerful, inspiring women with the same mindset.”

WBJ’s annual Women Who Mean Business award program honors professional women whose work has made a positive difference in their communities and the greater Washington region. Nominees for the program are evaluated on three criteria: professional accomplishments, community leadership, as well as awards and milestones.

Combs in her work at 3Pillar has contributed significantly to the company’s sustained double-digit growth, including the launch of a new investment partnership with New York-based private equity investor CIP Capital in early 2020 as well as the recent acquisition of Costa Rica-based engineering firm, Isthmus Software. Combs has been honored many times for her professional accomplishments and dedication to empowering other women in technology and business. In 2019 she was honored as the Institute for Excellence in Sales Member of the Year; was named among the Top 25 Women Leaders in Tech Services and Consulting of 2019 by the technology market research publication, The Software Report; and participated in Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit. She serves on the advisory council of STEM for Her and has helped build a thriving network of more than 400 professional women in the DC area called EMPOWERHER.

Combs and the rest of the 2020 class of Women Who Mean Business will be honored in a virtual awards ceremony on October 7, 2020. For more information on the program, click here.
