Mark Schaefer joins us on this week’s episode of the podcast to discuss those topics and more. Mark is the founder and Executive Director of Schaefer Marketing Solutions, a marketing company that helps businesses grow through social media, content, and strategic marketing. Mark’s portfolio includes seven patents, two graduate degrees, a mentorship with Peter Drucker, and five best-selling marketing books, including The Content Code, The Tao of Twitter, and Return on Influence.

Mark is a regular blogger at {grow}, one of the top marketing blogs in the world, and he teaches graduate marketing classes at Rutgers University. He has been a keynote speaker at a number of well-known events worldwide, including SXSW, Marketing Summit Tokyo, and the Institute for International and European Affairs. He’s also the co-host of The Marketing Companion, one of the top 10 marketing podcasts on iTunes.

He oversees the 3Pillar website and other web properties, hosts 3Pillar’s ‘Innovation Engine’ podcast, and manages 3Pillar’s social media accounts. Prior to its acquisition by 3Pillar, Will was an Account Manager at PointAbout, a DC-based mobile app boutique that specialized in developing iPhone and iPad apps.
