Learn From Paul Cobban, Leader of One of HBR’s Top Business Transformations of the Last Decade*

DBS Bank pulled off a staggering transformation in the 2010s. They went from having a reputation of being notoriously slow and sleepy to becoming one of the most innovative and highly respected banks in the world. How did they do it? That’s the journey former Chief Transformation Officer Paul Cobban shares in this on-demand webinar hosted by 3Pillar’s Chief Evangelist, Scott Varho.

What You’ll Learn

Watch the on-demand video to learn:

  • The importance of painting a compelling vision of the future. To get buy-in from employees, DBS looked for ways to crystalize their vision. One way they did this was publishing “future newspapers” with headlines they wanted to read about themselves in 3-5 years.
  • Why successful transformations require a focus on shared outcomes. Transformations can be messy and are notoriously difficult. It was only when DBS’ teams began focusing on shared outcomes that would make banking joyful for customers that their transformation truly began to flourish.
  • How seemingly simple behavioral changes can have a massive impact. Two acronyms made a major impact on DBS’ culture: BEAN, which stands for Behavior Enablers, Artifacts, and Nudges; and MOJO, which stands for Meeting Owner, Joyful Observer. Paul and his team borrowed from behavior change literature to design and mold their culture in a way that was highly impactful.
