Prior to working at SAP, Rand was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BearingPoint, one of the world’s largest consulting and systems integration firms, based in McLean, Virginia. Under his leadership, the firm, then known as KPMG Consulting, launched one of the largest IPOs in NASDAQ’s history, becoming the first of the Big Five consulting firms to separate from its audit and tax parent, and become an independent, publicly traded company.
Rand earned an MBA from the University of Kentucky and a BA in economics from McDaniel College. He also served as a Captain in the United States Army.
