John Bernardi has focused his career on helping early-stage growth companies understand and manage the financial dynamics of business in a rapidly changing environment. He has implemented or re-built the financial and administrative systems to produce timely, accurate reporting of both financial and non-financial information, led the preparation of budgeting and planning processes, and represented the company to outside investors, bankers, and acquirers.
Most recently, John has been Vice President of Finance and Administrations (and Principle Financial Officer) for LiveHealthier, Inc. He began working with LiveHealthier as a consultant in 2010 and joined full time in 2011. He helped the company achieve a compound annual growth rate of 60% with two rounds of financing before selling all its outstanding shares to Centene Corporation in January of 2015.
His experience also includes the CFO role with GreenStone Industries, participating in its founding, IPO, seven successful acquisitions, and eventual sale to Louisiana-Pacific Corporation.
John also spent five years working with the financial advisory firm of MorganFranklin and was assigned to various clients including comScore, Deltek, and webMethods. His assignments included technical accounting projects such as revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, and earnings-per-share calculations, as well as filling operational roles of Controller and Director of Revenue.
He began his career as a Corporate Financial Analyst in a holding-company environment, responsible for analysis of acquisitions and divestitures, as well as measurement of operating performance of portfolio companies.
John holds an MBA with a concentration in Corporate Finance from the University of Connecticut and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island.
