3Pillar’s Jonathan Hotz will be giving a presentation on mobile strategy and mobile app development at ModevCon 2015 in McLean, VA on December 10 at 4:30 PM.
Jonathan’s presentation, titled How to Match Your Mobile Strategy to Your Mobile Users, will describe the process of designing and developing a mobile application for a customer using a real-world case study.
A description of the presentation, in Jonathan’s own words, is:
“So you’ve been tasked to build a new mobile app, or to build the next major version, but where should you start? Do you pick the platform or pick the device? Do you go native or hybrid? Do you have the development team get started right away on the continuous development environment, or do you discuss the vision for the end product with them first?
Too often we fall into the trap of starting to list out the features or functionality that we want without going up one level to make sure the mobile strategy will benefit both the users and the business. But we’re inevitably given a short release timeframe, so how can we balance big picture strategy with building and shipping a product in the expected timeline?
In this presentation, we’ll go through the fill process of building a mobile app, focusing on what should be the primary drivers of any mobile strategy to ensure that your mobile product meets the anticipated users’ needs. We’ll use a real-world example so you can apply that success to your success.”
