Elisabeth Beller and Ann Silberstein Attending HIMSS18

The 2018 HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada from March 5th through the 9th. 3Pillar Global’s Elisabeth Beller and Ann Silberstein will attend this year’s conference at the Sands Expo & Convention Center.

THE PULSE ON DIGITAL HEALTH

Ann Silberstein will be a HIMSS first-timer, but was just recently in Vegas for CES 2018. While there, she focused on technology trends in the health and wellness space and noticed that at the forefront was Digital Health, featuring innovations in patient engagement, population health, wellness gadgets, and more.  She observed 3 key trends in the health and wellness space:

  1. Consumerization is bigger than ever
  2. The promise of Blockchain in healthcare
  3. A shift in care from the hospital to the home

Ann anticipates seeing similar discussions at HIMSS18 and is particularly excited about the Patient Engagement and Experience Summit.

HIMSS17 RECAP

Elisabeth attended HIMSS17 last February, and shortly thereafter had her own experience dealing with healthcare technology – or a lack thereof. She followed up her trip to Orlando with a trip to the ER, and faced the “brutal realities of where healthcare technology really is and how far we have to go.” HIMSS17 focused greatly on patient engagement, customer experience, mobile, and interoperability, and Elisabeth shared her thoughts on the opportunities in those spaces for blockchain, wearables, and more.

If you’re attending HIMSS18 and would like to schedule a meeting with Ann or Elisabeth, please send Ann a message via her LinkedIn profile. For more information about the conference itself, including a schedule and registration information, visit the official conference website.
