3Pillar CEO David DeWolf Interviewed by Economic Times

An interview with 3Pillar Global CEO David DeWolf was recently published in The Economic Times in India. The interview, titled “In Software Space, Delhi-NCR has Become a Goldmine of Talents," speaks to 3Pillar’s investment in its India delivery center. David talks about how our Noida office has proven to be a strategic winner for 3Pillar in our quest to become the most respected company in the Product Development Services space.

David acknowledges the technical prowess of the talent pool coming from its India center and how they have proved to be an asset for the company in building revenue-generating software products for its global clients. He also makes a specific mention of the “maturity and deep technical expertise” of the senior level hires that 3Pillar's India team has contributed to its global workforce.

During the course of this interview with veteran journalist Sanjeev Sinha, David also touches upon the business side of things, such as the nature of work that 3Pillar performs, our clientele, and the common challenges that clients approach 3Pillar with. He also talks about the cutting-edge work being done by 3Pillar Labs, the company’s R&D unit that operates mostly out of India and focuses on augmented reality, the Internet of Things, wearables, and Bluetooth LE/Beacon technology.

David is bullish on the business environment in India and notices an eagerness in the country's IT sector to replicate the success of the software services model in the growing Product Development Services sector. He cites the Indian Government’s recent budget initiative of earmarking $1.6 billion in funds to promote startups and also the budget speech that talks of “a special focus on software product startups.”

Asked who our competition in India is and what differentiates 3Pillar from the, David answered:

"It might sound cliche, but we don't see any of the other big software development companies as our competitors. Our motivation to excel is not a contract, but the relationships we develop with our clients. As a product development partner, we believe in delivering tangible business outcomes to our clients, ones that they can measure our performance against. I want the company to be known for reinventing the product development services sector, and that is precisely what we are striving to achieve here at 3Pillar."
