3Pillar Global’s Dan Suciu, Director of Technical Training, will present at this year’s Agile Tour 2015 in Vienna on November 21st from 5:15 to 6:00 PM. Dan’s presentation, titled “Being Rigid while Applying Agile,” will be a mixture of two of Dan’s articles previously published in Today Software Magazine titled “Best Practices in Agile” and “Agile Humanum Est.”
A description of his presentation, in his own words, goes as follows:
“It sometimes happens that certain things appear to be very clear and obvious at a given time, but when you begin to study them closely you are surprised to find out the contrary. This also happened when, trying to study the efficiency and benefits of adhering to the good practices in Agile, adopted by certain organizations and project teams, I have reached some conclusions that are far from being considered optimistic.
The presentation is pointing out the elements that lead to the idea that applying the successful practices of other organizations/teams in implementing Agile to your own project team can bring more disadvantages than advantages.”
Agile Tour 2015 is a one-day event that will be held in Vienna, Austria. This conference is a non-profit event that aims to bring together experts, practitioners, and everyone else who is interested in Agile software development. The main conference is held in German, but there are multiple talks and presentations given in English. The event will be held at UAS Technikum Wien, which is Austria’s largest technical university of applied sciences.
Dan Suciu is the Director of Technical Training at 3Pillar Global, as well as a Lecturer and PhD Faculty Member of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at Babes Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
