Bobby Christian Joins Three Pillar Software as Executive Vice President
Fairfax, Virginia, November 17, 2009 Three Pillar Software, Inc. (Three Pillar), a leading provider of comprehensive full product lifecycle solutions headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia today announced that veteran high-tech industry executive Bobby Christian has been named Executive Vice President. Christian, a long-time Three Pillar board member and successful entrepreneur will be taking command of Three Pillar's growth strategy.
"Bobby joined the Three Pillar board in August of 2008," said Three Pillar Chief Executive Officer David DeWolf. "His insight and guidance have been instrumental in our dramatic growth throughout 2009." DeWolf explained that as a Three Pillar board member, Christian had been a catalyst for creating the company's sharp entrepreneurial focus while also creating a culture of commitment to understanding the individual business-performance goals of every customer. "He has constantly challenged our executive team to grow and scale the business," DeWolf added." He has shaped our strategic planning, messaging, and business development efforts, and transformed our thinking from that of a small start up to that of a high growth company.
As Executive Vice President, Christian's primary responsibility will be to ensure continued organic growth for Three Pillar, cultivating new business while sustaining or even expanding Three Pillar's role with current clients. His experience with a myriad of start-ups and his role as a mentor for helping diverse companies launch new services and reach new markets makes him well suited to the task.
"While it has been tremendously rewarding to work with Three Pillar as a board member," said Christian, I am looking forward to being even more involved in the company's continuing success on a day-to-day basis." said Christian. "Three Pillar has experienced more than 700% growth in less than 15 months - and in a down market. Clearly it is a company that has generated enviable momentum. Instead of being content with that accomplishment, we want to keep moving with aggressive intelligence, complete several crucial strategic acquisitions, and position Three Pillar for even more impressive performance.
Prior to joining Three Pillar, Christian's career included experience in large consultancies, executive roles in privately held organizations and board positions for a number of companies. Over the course of his career, he has driven the launch and development of several high-tech startups, and has helped organizations build scalable business development organizations in both the public and private sectors.
A member of the Potomac Officer's Club and is a graduate of MindShare, Christian is also chairman of the board of Provision International USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to needy leaders in southern African countries. He also sits on the advisory boards of several local technology companies. Christian earned his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.
