3Pillar CFO Maria Izurieta in Economic Times
3Pillar CFO Maria Izurieta recently penned an article for The Economic Times titled The changing face of the 21st century CFO.
In the article, Maria looks at 4 qualities that she thinks are necessary for any CFO to possess to drive success for their company in today’s business world. Maria says CFOs must be collaborative, analytical, technical, and multi-faceted to help their company’s succeed in an ever-evolving technological and regulatory landscape.
One excerpt from the article stresses the need for CFOs to be much more than just numbers crunchers: “The new mandate for the CFO has arrived. They have to take a more proactive approach towards their work and change with the times. From being technology evangelists to enforcing operational excellence across the length and breadth of the organization, the position of a modern CFO has truly evolved for the better in this 21st Century.”
The evolving role of the CFO is a topic that Maria was interviewed about by Forbes for an article in September titled Debunking Finance’s Reputation as the ‘No’ Department. She has also wrote about it on the 3Pillar site in a blog post titled The Contemporary CFO.
