Innovation & Advanced Technology, with Adi Chikara

On this week’s episode of the podcast, we look at innovation and advanced technology. We talk about why we’ll soon find ourselves in the “post-development language” world, what it means when we talk about being in the age of micro-framework systems, and what skill sets will be most important for developers, product managers, marketers, and members of the C-suite to possess 5 years from now. Adi Chikara, a Technology Strategist and part of the Advanced Technology Group at 3Pillar, joins me to discuss these topics and more.

In his role with the Advanced Technology Group, Adi is responsible for helping drive 3Pillar’s R&D efforts, shaping our technology strategy, and executing on technical consulting engagements for clients and internal projects. Prior to joining 3Pillar, Adi held key research and consulting roles in European Union-funded research endeavors. In the private sector, he has served in various technical roles at Reuters and product roles at multiple startups. When he’s not creating world-changing products, you can find him at the local motor race tracks breaking lap records. You can find Adi on Twitter at @adi_ads and you can connect with him on GitHub at adi-ads.

Among the highlights of this week’s episode:

  • We talk about the movement toward applications being comprised by a number of “-as-a-Service” offerings
  • Adi shares his thoughts on the Microsoft HoloLens and the Oculus Rift, which he previously wrote about on the 3Pillar site
  • Adi talks about the newly formed Advanced Technology Group at 3Pillar and some of the frameworks he and his team have been evaluating and using
